Arlington Heights Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring contractor based in Arlington Heights, IL, with more than 20 years of experience coating, polishing and repairing concrete floors. We work in garages, basements, warehouses, kitchens and shops across the northwest suburbs, and nearly every job begins the same way: with us on our knees looking at the slab before anyone talks about color.
That habit comes from experience. Most floor coatings that fail do so for reasons that were visible before the job started, whether a damp slab, a moving crack or an old sealer nobody removed. We would rather find those problems at the walk-through and tell you about them than discover them after your floor has peeled.
Our Approach

We open every slab with a diamond grinder or shot blaster rather than acid, because a coating can only hold onto clean, sound concrete. Moisture testing appears on our quotes as its own line, for garage and basement slabs alike, and we read the cracks and any old coating before naming a price. When a floor needs repair before it can be coated, or when a coating simply cannot fix what is wrong, we say so. A floor coating is a film that follows the concrete beneath it, and we explain that up front instead of promising it will stop a slab from moving.
Our proposals list the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so you can compare what went down with what you were quoted, and we read the warranty exclusions aloud before you sign, starting with moisture. Curing is timed to slab temperature and dew point rather than the calendar, which sometimes means telling a homeowner that an unheated garage should wait for spring. On home jobs, you receive a written contract and the Illinois consumer-rights pamphlet before we begin.
Illinois does not license flooring contractors, so instead of a state license number we provide the village registration, bond and insurance documents each municipality requires. We select coatings within the state’s VOC limits, we never market a floor coating as radon reduction, and on commercial jobs we schedule the work around the hours your building has to stay open.
What We Do
We install epoxy garage floors, flake and metallic epoxy floors, polyaspartic floor coatings and basement floor epoxy for homeowners, along with polished concrete, concrete grinding and concrete floor repair. For businesses, we build commercial epoxy flooring, ESD flooring for electronics and labs, and commercial kitchen flooring designed for washdown and health inspection. If you are planning a new floor or trying to save a failing one, request a free estimate and we will come look at the slab with you.
